Another Mohawk Million on the Way

Woodbine Entertainment said last week that it will organize The Mohawk Million event again next year, citing its satisfaction with this year’s performance and interest in the race. This year’s race, which took place on September 25, 2021 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, was won by Venerable, an unbeaten trotting filly. Before the next yearling sales, the firm intends to notify all breeders and purchasers of its plans.

The business hosted the 162nd edition of the renowned The Queen’s Plate event at its other Ontario racing venue, Woodbine Racetrack. This year’s historic race was won by Safe Conduct, who also drew a sizable wagering volume. According to the horse racing leader, the event brought in CA$3.5 million in wagers, out of a total of CA$16.1 million for the weekend.
