Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) announced today that Angela Wong, a thirty-year-old gaming industry executive who will replace retired GLI® CEO William Thompson, assumed the position this week. Wong had served as the Director of the Lottery Division for the Montana Lottery since 2008, overseeing the launch of seven new games and the introduction of a new instant game platform. She previously served as the Manager of the Lottery Division for the South Dakota Lottery, where she was responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the division.

LAS VEGAS (May 26, 2021) – Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) has appointed former Montana State Lottery Director Angela Wong as Director of Lottery Solutions. His appointment adds to the professional expertise of GLI’s strong team, which serves thousands of lotteries, regulators, and equipment and service providers worldwide.
In his leadership role, Wong will be a key resource for lottery customers and will work with lottery vendors and technology providers to promote the overall success of the lottery industry. She will identify the technical and business challenges facing US and international lotteries and develop a strategy to meet the needs of lotteries in every region of the world. Prior to joining GLI, Ms. Wong served as the Director of the Montana Lottery, where she earned an international reputation for her leadership and innovative approach. She is also president of the North American State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL), where she also held various executive positions for 10 years. She is also the youngest vice president of the Multistate Lottery Association (MUSL). Ms. Wong’s unique skills will enable her to quickly integrate GLI to help her lottery clients navigate the changing landscape and take advantage of new opportunities created by evolving technology and new distribution channels. Wong will work with Kevin Mullally, GLI’s senior vice president of government relations and general counsel, and will join eight other members of the GLI team who have government experience in lottery or regulatory leadership roles.
