A family in Alberta, Canada has won the lottery jackpot of $1 million. The winning ticket was bought at a gas station and was worth $10.

The winnipeg lottery winners – 2021 is a story about an Alberta family that won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot.

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation recently announced the identity of yet another Lotto 6/49 winner, or winner to be precise. Dennis Hines and his family from Alberta have won a whopping CA$18,000,000 in the fan-favorite game’s July 10 draw. The reward will now be split between him and his family.

Mr. Hines has purchased a ticket for himself and his children Richard and Shanon at the Marwayne Service and Café, situated at 407 Railway Avenue South in Marwayne, Alberta. He was fortunate in that he won the Lotto 6/49 Free Play ticket in the previous draw. Then he paid CA$1 to upgrade the ticket to Extra.

Now it’s official:

The family expressed their thoughts on the CA $18,680,003.80 victory after coming at a WCLC office to collect their reward. The father first doubted that he had won such a reward since he saw so many zeroes and assumed it was a prank. Then, as soon as he realized the big victory, he called his children to inform them of the good news.

With such a large sum of money, the family is unsure how they would spend it, but they have some ideas. Mr. Hines said that he wants to pay off the vehicle that he purchased a few months ago for himself. The victors also want to donate a part of their winnings to charitable organizations near and dear to their hearts.

The Winner in Montreal Has Been Announced

Olivia Delos Reyes of Montreal, who won CA$10.9 million in Lotto 6/49, is another recent example of a big lottery victory with a split reward. Before her luck paid off in the August 28 draw, the winner had been playing the lottery for almost 16 years with the same combination of numbers. The fortunate woman now intends to share her reward and happiness with her lottery club.

Friday’s Pick

Lotto Max is another popular lottery game in Canada, with drawings held on Tuesdays and Fridays. The next draw will be on September 24, 2021, and it will be a big one since no one won the jackpot in the previous round, so it will now be worth more than CA$65 million. The six Maxmillion prizes have remained unaffected as well.

Winners in the Past

The Lotto Max game has been quite kind to its players so far this year, with the top prize being won on many occasions. This was the case for East Gwillimbury resident Jansen Ng, a former military man who won a jackpot of CA$65 million this summer. The winner said that he intends to donate money to charity and look for innovative methods to assist non-profit organizations.

Marc and Dorothy-Ann Meilleur of Noelville have had their lives turned upside down after winning CA$70,000,000 in the fan-favorite game. With the February 26 lottery draw, their luck finally turned after years of playing the lotto. The couple want to use their large winnings to provide a brighter future for their three children and seven grandkids.
