The state of the gaming industry has been changing drastically over the past few years, thanks to the popularity of video games. With betting on single sports increasing in popularity, the time is right to introduce single-sports betting for online casinos.

Single-sports betting is coming to mobile soon, giving you the ability to bet on sports on the go from your smartphone. There are three types of single-sports betting available right now. You can bet on the outcome of a single game, the final score of a single sporting event or the final score of a single sport.

Concussion is a serious concern in all sports, particularly when it comes to football. In the NFL alone, there are more than a dozen lawsuits brought against the league for concussions suffered by players on its teams, with more players being added to the list each year.

The long-running debate over whether or not single-sport betting would ever be legalized in Canada has finally come to an end. Justice Minister David Lametti said yesterday at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario, that the federal government has set August 27, 2021 as the date on which Bill C-218 would become law in Canada.

The Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act, commonly known as Bill C-218, was approved by the Canadian Senate on June 22, 2021, and got Royal Assent a week later. The bill would amend the Criminal Code to enable provinces to provide gambling on all individual single sports events, thus putting parlay betting in the past.

A new chapter has begun.

Bill C-218 was approved by the Canadian Parliament more than 40 days ago, and Justice Minister David Lametti stated that it would take effect on August 27, 2021. Provinces and territories will now be allowed to sell single-event gambling products on sports events like as the Grey Cup or the Super Bowl, according to the minister.

The changes to the Criminal Code, according to Mr. Lametti, would enable jurisdictions and territories to use the money to support services like as healthcare and education. Lottery proceeds are often utilized to fund local infrastructure or communities in several regions. Furthermore, the new product will boost the Canadian gaming sector, allowing it to eventually catch up to the market in the United States.

Mr. Lametti, on the other hand, claims that one issue that has yet to be addressed is how Indigenous nations will be involved in the casino expansion. Indigenous people were kept out of the discussions, according to the Justice Minister, although their casinos are statistically extremely well managed. He also said that the government would continue to work on that aspect of the case and will most likely continue to speak with the communities.

The expanded gaming options, according to Unifor Local 444 president Dave Cassidy, who represents Caesars Windsor Casino employees, would bring not just more money but also new employment. According to him, the new employment opportunities would benefit the area, which has been badly impacted by the unusual circumstances. He thinks that single-sport wagering may offer the casino with 100 to 150 employment.

There is no reason for the delay.

The delay in enacting Bill C-218 has caused some squabbles between the federal administration and certain members of Parliament. Windsor West MP Brian Masse wrote to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau this week, asking him to speed up the process and legalize the new gambling option. There is no explanation for the delay, according to Mr. Masse, and as a result, the job development process is also halted.

Are you ready to go?

Ontario is already on the watch, as the country’s biggest province prepares for the introduction of single-event sports betting. Duncan Hannay, the CEO of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, recently said that the Crown is ready to roll out the new product in time for the 2017 NFL season, since it will result in a significant increase in betting volume and the move will be beneficial.

Jeff Lagerquist, Jeff Lagerquist, Jeff Lagerquist, Jeff Lagerquist Yahoo Sports, August 12, 2021, “Legal single-sport betting in Canada begins on August 27.”
