The poker tournament is the second most popular game in the world, with an estimated $10 billion wagered annually. It’s no surprise that many people are looking to get into the game, but not everyone can afford it. This woman, who was once homeless and living on food stamps, has found success after learning how to play poker for pennies at a local casino.

The wsop bracelet is a symbol of success for many poker players and the winner of the WSOP Ladies Championship found that success after she sharpened her skills.

At the final table of the World Series of Poker $1,000 Ladies Championship last week, Lara Eisenberg faced a major choice straight away.

She started the game with the fewest chips of the five remaining players. On the first hand, she raised the action with pocket Eights.

JJ Liu, a poker legend, then placed a huge three-bet. Both players were out of chips, and Eisenberg had to make a difficult decision.

“In a vacuum, I should definitely push there,” Eisenberg recalls, “but I simply had a feeling she’d never do that with a pair worse than 8-8,” which indicated he was in terrible trouble.

After considerable consideration, the Maryland part-time poker player decided to fold. As Liu had pocket Aces, this proved to be the right decision.

Eisenberg’s instincts were correct, as she rallied to win the event and $115,694 for her first WSOP bracelet.

Eisenberg exclaims, “It feels wonderful.” “I try to only establish process objectives rather than end goals, such as winning a bracelet, over which I have no actual influence. But it’s fantastic to have won a big event and to have received the recognition for putting in the effort.”

She is now working on her game.

Eisenberg’s victory at the WSOP seems to be the result of his recent training. She’d earned a WSOP Circuit ring in 2019 and has a couple World Poker Tour cashes under her belt.

Eisenberg, on the other hand, had higher hopes and started working with the BBZ Poker training site. She attributes this, along with many hours of self-study, to helping her improve her game.

Eisenberg urges other players to take advantage of the many poker coaching and training options currently accessible.

“It was a huge step forward in my game when I began working with Jon ‘Apestyles’ Van Fleet a few years ago,” she adds. “He and the other BBZ instructors offer amazing high-level material and a community of dedicated players that are always striving to better.”

“Jonathan Little’s material has also helped me a lot. Players now have access to a plethora of excellent material at a variety of pricing points. It’s an incredible moment to be a part of the game.”

Skydiving and card games are two of my favorite pastimes.

Eisenberg’s poker resume is bolstered by his victory at the WSOP. She came out on top of a field of 644 participants and a prize fund of $573,160.

She describes the event as “so much joy to play with – nice and supportive while yet playing well.” “That made it a lot more enjoyable.” It had never occurred to me that having a women-only competition would be important, but it was refreshing to be in the minority for a while. But I like playing with the men as well.”

Eisenberg is a natural competitor who spent more than two decades as a skydiver leaping out of aircraft. As they fell down to Earth, she and her colleagues formed unusual patterns, which a cameraman captured on video. She completed almost 4,500 jumps and was part of a 400-skydiver formation that set a world record.

Eisenberg told, “I was jumping for 24 years.” “I wasn’t looking for a huge surge of adrenaline.” It’s more about having a competitive outlet because you’re competing.”

Eisenberg is a radiologist who works seven days a week and seven days a week. This gives you plenty of time to go to a card game tournament.

Putting the finishing touches on a WSOP bracelet victory

Beyond Eisenberg’s huge fold, another important moment from the Ladies Championship sticks out for her. Diane Cooley raised with a small stack with four players remaining, and Eisenberg three-bet with AK.

The chip leader, Mikiyo Aoki, then went all-in, forcing Eisenberg to make a life-changing choice.

“The short stack folded, putting me in a difficult ICM (independent chip model) situation since the short stack was far more likely to break before me, allowing me to ladder up a place,” she explains.

“In the end, I chose to call since winning would give me a good opportunity to win the entire thing.” Mikiyo is a very difficult player who was well-versed in ICM.”

Eisenberg would win a large pot if Aoki revealed AQ with a King on the flip, vaulting her into the chip lead. She currently has $336,302 in live tournament earnings as a result of her victory. Eisenberg is thankful for the whole experience, especially his appearance at the final table, which was live-streamed.

“I felt the WSOP and PokerGo did an incredible job of conducting and reporting the event, and the dealers were incredible,” she adds.

More poker is on the horizon, and Eisenberg now has a little more cash to devote to her hobby.

“After paying taxes and shares to supporters, the majority of the money will remain in the poker bankroll as padding for future downswings,” she adds.
